Huawei has officially launched the recruitment process for the HarmonyOS 7 beta program, significantly accelerating its original rollout schedule. While the company initially announced an October start date for older devices during its product event on September 7, the recruitment phase for the new operating system version began today.
The beta update is now available for a wide range of devices, including the Mate 60, Mate X5, and Mate XT series. Additionally, the Pura 70 and Pocket 2 smartphone lines are included in the early access program. Huawei is also extending the beta to its latest tablet lineup, covering the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch and 12.2-inch 2025 models, as well as various MatePad Air and MatePad 11.5 S versions.
Wearable devices are also part of the expanded testing phase. Users of the Huawei WATCH GT 7 and WATCH FIT 5 series can now participate in the HarmonyOS 7 beta recruitment. This move marks a shift from the previously communicated timeline, allowing owners of these specific hardware models to access the new software features ahead of the originally planned October schedule.
