Honda has confirmed the official debut of its 0 Alpha electric SUV for December 2. The vehicle, which will not be available in the U.S. market, is primarily targeted at consumers in India and Japan.
The 0 Alpha is built on a dedicated EV architecture and is expected to feature a front-wheel-drive layout with a single electric motor. It will offer two LFP battery options, with the larger pack potentially providing a range of up to 500 km.
Production of the electric SUV will take place at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan, India. Honda intends to export the vehicle to other global markets, including Japan, following a strategy similar to the Elevate model.
The interior design follows a minimalist approach, featuring a large infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The vehicle is designed to withstand rough road conditions and challenging weather.
