BYD has officially entered the Indonesian market with its Danza brand, a local rebranding of Denza following a trademark dispute. The company introduced two all-electric models: the D9 MPV and the Z9 GT shooting brake. Both vehicles utilize the second-generation Blade Battery with LFP cells, which supports high-power charging capabilities.
The updated D9 features a 115 kWh battery and a 340 kW motor, offering an NEDC range of 730 kilometers. It is priced at IDR 1.08 billion, or approximately €53 200. The Z9 GT is equipped with three motors producing 850 kW and 1 210 Nm of torque, achieving 0 to 100 kph in 2.7 seconds. Its price is set at IDR 2.25 billion, or roughly €110 800.
BYD is launching a major infrastructure project to deploy 100 Flash Chargers across Indonesia by December. These T-shaped units can deliver up to 1 500 kW. The first charger is already operational at a dealership in Jakarta. Users can locate the network via the BYD Flash Charging app or partner platforms including Utomo Charge+, iGreen+, and Arista Power.
