The updated European version of the HMD Fusion smartphone features a significant hardware upgrade, transitioning to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. This change is intended to boost the device's overall performance compared to the original model released in September 2024.
The new device includes a 6.56-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The battery capacity remains at 5000mAh with support for 33W wired charging.
The camera system consists of a 50MP front-facing sensor, a 108MP main rear camera, and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. These specifications align with the modular design philosophy of the Fusion series, which utilizes Smart Pins for connecting various accessories.
The modular system allows users to attach components such as rugged cases, wireless charging modules, or ring lights for photography. HMD also provides an open-source development kit, enabling users to create and 3D print their own custom hardware extensions.
