HMD has launched the 2660 Flip Senior Edition in the UK, a clamshell phone designed for elderly users. The device is based on the original model introduced at MWC in March 2025 and features the Mary AI assistant, developed in partnership with inTouch.
The hardware includes a 2.8-inch QVGA main screen and a 1.77-inch external display. It is powered by a Unisoc T107 processor with 64 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, running on the S30+ operating system. The phone also features a 0.3 MP camera and a 1450 mAh removable battery.
Connectivity options include USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance and includes FM radio and an MP3 player. The battery supports up to 8.1 hours of talk time.
The Mary assistant is accessed via the main menu and is designed to handle long pauses and retain conversation history. Users can engage in discussions, listen to stories, or play memory-training games. The assistant is optimized for simple communication.
The phone is priced at £80 in the UK, which covers the first five hours of interaction with the AI assistant. A monthly subscription for continued access costs £17, with no automatic renewal policy in place.
