Users can now switch mobile operators while keeping their existing phone number through the Gosuslugi portal. The Ministry of Digital Development announced that this process replaces the previous requirement to visit an operator's website or physical store.

To initiate the transfer, users must access the SIM-cards section within their profile on the Gosuslugi portal. After selecting the desired number and submitting the request, the data is automatically forwarded to the independent database operator for verification.

The service currently supports major providers including Beeline, Megafon, MTS, and T2. Once the application is approved, the new operator contacts the user to select a tariff plan and finalize the contract.

The contract can be signed either in person at a retail location or remotely using an electronic signature, such as the Gosklyuch application. Upon completion, the user receives a new SIM card with their original number.

Alternatively, users can manage the transfer process through the website of the mobile number portability database. This platform also provides tools to compare various tariff plans and check network coverage quality across different regions.
