Google has expanded access to its Vids video generation tool, previously reserved for Workspace enterprise users, to all personal Google account holders. The service is now available via desktop browsers at vids.new.
The tool now utilizes the Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash model to generate 1080p HD video content. Users can access features including scene extension for visual consistency and precise clip duration control.
Personal accounts are limited to approximately six free video clips or avatars per month. All generated content includes a SynthID watermark to identify it as AI-produced material.
Users requiring higher output volumes can opt for paid AI plans or premium Google Workspace subscriptions. The company also plans to introduce multilingual voiceover support in over 100 languages using the Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite model.
