Google has officially confirmed that pre-orders for its new Googlebook laptop platform will commence on September 21, 2026. The company sent out notifications inviting users to prepare for the launch, with pre-orders scheduled to open at 9:00 AM Eastern Time.
While a direct link for pre-orders has been provided, Google has not yet disclosed pricing details or the specific list of laptop models available at launch. The company also remains silent regarding the official shipping dates for the first devices.
The Googlebook platform, initially announced in May, integrates elements of Android and ChromeOS. It leverages Gemini AI technology to provide features such as Magic Pointer, custom widgets, and seamless integration with Android smartphones.
Several major hardware manufacturers are preparing to release their own versions of Googlebook devices. The list of initial partners includes Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. A full presentation of the platform is scheduled for September 15.
