Google Labs has expanded its experimental AI agent, CC, to support household management for up to six adult users. Previously functioning as a personal assistant, the tool now operates under its own dedicated Google account, allowing family members to grant access to specific Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, and SMS data.
The agent provides a daily summary called Your Day Ahead, which aggregates tasks and events. It processes information from emails, chats, photos, and PDF files to update shared calendars and task lists. Additionally, CC assists with filling out forms, planning weekly menus, creating shopping lists, and calculating travel times.
Powered by Gemini 3.8 Flash and Antigravity technology, each CC instance runs in an isolated cloud environment. The system distinguishes between shared family data and individual preferences. Google states that the agent requires explicit confirmation before performing actions or sharing documents outside the group.
Currently, the service remains in an experimental phase with limited access. Existing users in the United States will receive invitations to upgrade to the family version, while others can join a waitlist to gain access to the new household features.
