Google announced the upcoming expansion of its Googlebook laptop lineup at the Android Dev Summit 2026. The new devices will feature various form factors, including traditional clamshells, convertible laptops, and models with detachable keyboards.
Currently, the Acer Googlebook 14 remains the only convertible device in the series, supporting laptop, tent, and tablet modes. The company acknowledged that the software was not fully optimized for hybrid devices at the time of the initial launch.
Lenovo is expected to release the first detachable Googlebook. According to reports, the device will feature a tablet-style design with a rear kickstand and is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor.
