Google has released the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which features a lighter design and increased durability compared to its predecessor. The device is 5mm thick when unfolded and 10.1mm thick when folded. It is 19 grams lighter than the previous model, and Google claims the durability has been improved by three times, incorporating a new glass-ceramic cover and a glass-fiber composite back.
The smartphone includes a 3,600-nit peak brightness display, an upgrade from the 3,000-nit screen on the previous version. The camera system features an updated 48-megapixel main sensor and now supports 30x Super Res Zoom, compared to the 20x zoom available on the previous model. The device also introduces software features such as Looks for image toning and Magic Capture for frame selection.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is priced at $1,899. This positions it at the same price point as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. The device faces competition in the foldable market from other manufacturers, including Honor and Xiaomi in Europe, as well as the iPhone Duo.
