GigaIDE 2026.1 has introduced support for C# and .NET, allowing developers to work within a single environment alongside Java, Kotlin, Python, and JavaScript. This functionality is available for free in the Community version of the IDE.
The C# support is implemented as a plugin available via the GigaIDE marketplace. It provides standard development features including code analysis, navigation, refactoring, and auto-completion. The IDE supports project structures such as .sln, .slnx, and .slnf files.
The integrated debugger supports breakpoints, call stacks, and variable inspection for modern .NET applications. Developers can also manage NuGet packages, run unit tests with coverage analysis, and perform build operations directly within the interface.
To use the feature, users must install the .NET SDK, preferably version 8 or newer. Current limitations include a lack of support for Hot Reload and classic .NET Framework debugging, while Razor, Blazor, and XAML support is planned for future Pro-tier updates.
