The price of the flagship GeForce RTX 5090 has seen a significant increase in the European market. In Germany, the entry-level price for the graphics card has exceeded €5 200, marking a growth of approximately 70% over the past eight months. Back in January, similar models were available for around €3 000.
Data from the Geizhals aggregator shows that the INNO3D GeForce RTX 5090 iCHILL Frostbite Pro is currently priced at €5 243. Other models, such as the Asus ROG Astral and MSI Ventus 3X OC, are listed at €5 238 and €5 249 respectively. Certain versions from Gigabyte and Palit are retailing between €5 250 and €5 284, with some variants approaching €5 500.
The gap between market prices and the Nvidia recommended retail price has widened significantly. Last year, the company set the price for the RTX 5090 Founders Edition in Germany at €2 100. Current partner cards are now approximately 2.5 times more expensive than that figure, while the Founders Edition remains difficult to purchase at the official price in retail.
A similar trend is occurring in the United States, where the RTX 5090 price surpassed $5 000 several weeks ago. Nvidia has not provided public comments regarding the price surge or the reduced supply. Market analysts attribute the shortage to high demand from the artificial intelligence sector, as companies utilize these cards for AI computations.
