Frore Systems has introduced the LiquidJet Diamond, a custom coldplate designed for high-performance GPUs, including the upcoming Nvidia Rubin accelerators. The device utilizes a three-dimensional, multi-stage architecture with integrated diamond wafers placed directly over GPU hotspots to enhance thermal conductivity.

The company reports that diamond material offers thermal conductivity exceeding 20 W/cm·K, significantly higher than the 4 W/cm·K typical of copper. This design allows the cooling system to manage power densities of up to 770 W/cm², an increase from the 600 W/cm² capacity of the standard LiquidJet model.

According to internal simulations, the LiquidJet Diamond solution reduces GPU temperatures by 16°C to 22°C. Frore claims this improvement leads to a 30% to 35% increase in AI token efficiency per watt. The company also projects a 75% boost in heat-transfer efficiency compared to conventional coldplates.

Frore plans to showcase the technology at the OCP Global Summit, scheduled for October 12–16. The demonstration will feature cooling for a 2,300W Nvidia Rubin accelerator. The company has not yet specified whether the test will utilize production-grade hardware or specialized thermal test vehicles.
