Freya aims to scale its team and expand its presence across Europe. The company emphasizes cost-efficiency, intending to make its sensor solutions accessible for protecting a wider range of sites and individuals. The technology is designed for deployment in harsh environments, prioritizing certification and resilience.
The funding round occurs during a period of increased investment in European defense and sensing technologies. Other recent market activity includes €15 million raised by Finland’s Kelluu, €7.08 million secured by UK-based Silicon Microgravity, and €30 million raised by Estonia’s Frankenburg Technologies.
