Five9, a cloud contact center software provider based in San Ramon, California, plans to acquire the AI startup Level AI for $325 million in cash. The deal marks a transition from a technology partnership, which began in mid-2026, to full ownership.

Level AI, headquartered in Mountain View, specializes in conversation intelligence and real-time agent assistance. Its platform processes over 1 billion interactions annually, equivalent to approximately 4 trillion tokens, and serves around 100 enterprise clients.

Founded in 2019, Level AI has raised a total of approximately $73 million, including a $39.4 million Series C round in 2024. The proposed acquisition price represents more than four times the total capital invested in the startup.

Five9, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker FIVN, reported total revenue of $300 million and over $100 million in AI-related revenue for Q4 2025. The company previously acquired Inference Solutions in 2020 to expand its conversational AI capabilities.

As of November 5, 2026, the transaction has not been confirmed through an official SEC filing or press release. Market observers are awaiting details regarding the closing timeline and regulatory review process.
