FiiO has officially launched the R7 R2R desktop digital audio player, which also functions as a DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier. The device is available in black and white color options, with a retail price set at ¥5499.
The hardware configuration includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. The device features a 5.5-inch FHD display and utilizes a proprietary 24-bit R2R resistor array consisting of 192 precision thin-film resistors.
The unit supports nine distinct operating modes, including digital streaming, decoding, and sound card functionality. It offers five adjustable gain levels and provides a balanced output of 4000mW plus 4000mW. The system supports both DC and AC power supplies.
For digital audio processing, the R7 R2R incorporates dual FPGA chips and dual custom femtosecond oscillators. Users can manage the device through the FiiO Control application, remote control options, and an integrated Auto EQ feature.
