The Fedora project has officially postponed the release of Fedora 45 following a Go/No-Go review meeting. The distribution failed to meet its original schedule and will miss the upcoming release window, pushing the launch back by at least one week.

The delay stems from several critical blocking bugs that remain unresolved. Key issues include problems with eMudhra, an oversized AArch64 image for Fedora Server 45, failures in LVM auto-activation after upgrades on LUKS-encrypted volumes, and incorrect RPM package installation via KDE Plasma Discover.

Development teams are currently evaluating three additional potential blockers. These include network configuration failures during installation, issues with Stratis encrypted storage pools, and a bug where encrypted Stratis root partitions enter emergency mode if the password prompt is ignored.

While some minor defects were granted freeze exceptions, these did not address the primary obstacles preventing the release. The project has tentatively rescheduled the launch for November 3, pending successful verification of fixes for the identified critical bugs.
