Fastned, a Dutch fast-charging provider, secured €27 million from private investors in Belgium and the Netherlands through a new bond offering. This marks the third bond placement for the company in 2026, bringing the total raised this year to €92 million, surpassing the €79 million collected in 2025.

The company currently manages 452 charging parks across nine European countries, with 70 additional sites under construction. In 2026, Fastned opened 46 new locations and maintains a long-term goal of operating 1,000 charging parks by 2030. Each new site requires an initial investment of approximately €991,000.

The total outstanding volume of retail bonds has reached €364 million, with a five-year term and a 6 per cent annual interest rate. Since the program began, over 13,000 investors have contributed more than €400 million. Beyond bonds, the company utilizes equity and bank loans, including a €200 million green credit line secured in January 2026.

Financial performance shows revenue from the charging business grew by 63 per cent to €51.3 million in the third quarter of 2026. Despite a 45 per cent operating EBITDA margin, the company reported a loss of €13 million in the first half of 2026 due to high expansion costs. Management aims to increase station utilization from 13.5 per cent to 30 per cent.
