Evvy, a company focused on women's health, has secured $40 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Catalio Capital Management. The startup intends to use these funds to expand its research into the vaginal microbiome and develop new data-driven health solutions.
Founded in 2021 by Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek, and Pita Navarro, Evvy provides at-home testing services for vaginal microbes. The company currently serves over 100,000 patients in the United States and collaborates with 3,000 medical practitioners to provide clinical interpretations and personalized care.
The company has published 15 peer-reviewed studies and identified hundreds of previously unknown vaginal microbiome genomes. In May, Evvy introduced an AI assistant designed to provide users with real-time guidance based on collected biological data.
Evvy is now expanding into the fertility sector, conducting studies on the link between the vaginal microbiome and conditions such as infertility, gynecological cancers, and preterm birth. The long-term goal is to develop a non-invasive, at-home diagnostic tool for various health conditions.
