The stock exchange operator Euronext has suspended the launch of the CoinShares Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP) on Euronext Paris. The trading of the instrument, identified as ZCSH, was halted on Wednesday, the day it was originally scheduled to debut.
According to Flavio Bornancin-Tomasella, press and communications manager at Euronext, the suspension is linked to operational settlement requirements. The product will remain unavailable for trading until standard settlement operations are fully supported by the Central Securities Depository (CSD).
This suspension delays the introduction of what would have been the fourth Zcash-based ETP in Europe. Earlier this year, similar products were launched by other companies, including 21Shares, Virtune, and Valor.
