Envision has deployed its Dubhe power system, which the company describes as the world's first 800V DC solution for AI data centers. The technology converts power directly from a 10kV medium-voltage AC supply to an 800V DC bus. This design aims to improve conversion efficiency and reduce the physical size of power infrastructure.

The system integrates battery support to manage spikes in AI workloads and provide short-term backup. It also includes an AI-driven controller to balance power supply with computing demand. According to Envision, the architecture supports higher-density AI racks and reduces the need for cabling and copper materials.

The Dubhe technology is currently in operation at the Galaxy AI data center in Ulanqab. Envision plans to expand the use of this 800V DC system through its Mission Gobi initiative. The company aims to reach 5GW of green AI data center capacity in desert regions by 2030.
