According to the latest report from NewRank Intelligence, Doubao has significantly increased its reliance on Douyin content. The citation weight of Douyin within the AI model surged from 10.79% in May to 31.8% by August, meaning one out of every three cited items now originates from the platform.

Baidu has also expanded its source library, integrating Bilibili and Haokan Video in June. These two platforms now account for a combined 12% of Baidu's citation weight. The report highlights that video content is shifting from a supplementary role to becoming a primary source for AI models.

The research indicates a strong correlation between video titles and citation frequency. For Douyin, average citations increased by 51% when titles aligned with user queries, while Bilibili saw a 44% increase. Keyword coverage remains the most critical factor for search algorithms, showing a higher correlation coefficient than semantic similarity alone.

Creators are advised to optimize titles by directly incorporating keywords from common user queries. The report emphasizes that matching literal search terms remains a priority for AI retrieval systems, alongside ensuring high semantic relevance to the target questions.
