Dongfeng Motor Group announced leadership changes following a meeting held on November 2. The Central Organization Department appointed Lu Fang as Deputy General Manager and Standing Committee member of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor Group. Wu Bilei was appointed as a Director and Deputy Party Secretary of the company.
Lu Fang previously served as Chairman and Party Secretary of Lantu Automobile Technology. It remains unclear whether he will retain his responsibilities at Lantu following his promotion. Wu Bilei, the other newly appointed executive, previously held leadership roles at FAW Group, including Chairman of FAW Jiefang, and managed the development of commercial vehicle models.
Lantu Automobile reported the delivery of 13,030 vehicles in October 2024. The cumulative sales volume for the first ten months of the year reached 128,511 units, representing a 13% year-on-year increase. In September, Lu Fang noted that Lantu ranked second in sales among brands utilizing Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit.
According to the 412th batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's vehicle production enterprise announcement, Lantu Automobile Technology is listed as a member enterprise of Dongfeng Group. The appointments of Lu Fang and Wu Bilei will be processed in accordance with relevant legal regulations.
