Dongchedi addressed the recent failure of the Maextro V800 brake pedal bracket during testing. The platform stated that the 100 km/h to 0 emergency braking test is a standard procedure rather than an extreme condition, noting that such braking scenarios are common during high-speed driving.

The testing involved three new Maextro V800 vehicles. According to the report, the brake pedal brackets on all three units fractured during the second to fourth heavy braking attempts. Dongchedi emphasized that this was the first time they observed such a failure in this specific model, highlighting potential safety concerns due to the consistency of the damage.

Maextro responded by stating that its braking systems are developed and verified according to standards higher than national requirements, specifically GB 21670-2025, GB 7258-2026, and the industry standard QC/T 788-2018. The company reported no such failures in real-world usage since the first deliveries and characterized the test as non-standard.

Regarding allegations of excessive force, Dongchedi clarified that the reported 4589N pedal force figure was a misinterpretation caused by a frame rate mismatch between the high-speed camera and the testing equipment's LCD screen. The actual peak force recorded was 1612N, after which the pressure dropped rapidly.
