Starting November 16, 2026, Discord will launch web pages for all discoverable servers, initially featuring text summaries of discussions. By mid-December 2026, some channel messages will become accessible directly via Google search results without requiring a user account.
This update affects 63,000 servers currently open for discovery. Private servers and direct messages remain excluded from indexing. The initiative aims to help content creators and developers attract new audiences through search traffic.
Administrators can opt out of indexing for specific channels or entire servers via the Web Presence settings. Users can also prevent their messages from appearing on public web pages through their account privacy settings.
While users can restrict message visibility, their content may still be used for automated summaries. To protect privacy, Discord will hide avatars and usernames of individual contributors on these public web pages.
