Diasoft has introduced a new logic diagram editor within its Digital Q.Archer backend design platform. The updated tool shifts from simple graphical representations to a structured model that defines business objects, their attributes, and relationships directly within the system.
Previously, architects relied on a fork of the open-source draw.io editor, which required separate validation of business rules. This process often created discrepancies between the visual diagrams and the actual system implementation, as validation occurred in a different interface.
The new editor integrates design, validation, and team collaboration into a single workspace. Architects can now manage PBC models and software interfaces while maintaining a unified context, which eliminates the need to switch between different platform sections.
The platform now automatically generates code from metadata, ensuring that architectural diagrams remain synchronized with the final implementation. The editor also includes a real-time validation feature that detects critical errors during the design phase before publication.
The system tracks a detailed history of changes, including authors and timestamps, to support internal audits. Additionally, the update features a new rendering engine for large-scale diagrams and an auto-save function to prevent data loss during the design process.
Existing architectural documentation remains compatible with the new editor, allowing companies to transition without additional costs or time investments for data migration. The update aims to streamline the development lifecycle by reducing manual verification steps.
