San Francisco-based startup Dextr AI has secured $6.7 million in its first institutional seed funding round. The investment was led by Elevation Capital with participation from Foundation Capital. The company plans to use the capital to hire engineers, expand software integrations, and develop new AI agents.

Founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI provides autonomous agents for the hospitality industry. The platform manages reservations, guest requests, and staff coordination. Its voice agent, Daisy, handles incoming calls, while Alfred manages guest messaging and check-ins. A companion tool, Doss, allows staff to interact with these systems via text or voice.

The company integrates with property management systems such as Oracle Hospitality, OPERA Cloud, StayNtouch, Cloudbeds, and Hostaway. Dextr AI currently serves hundreds of properties, ranging from 21-room boutique hotels to 550-room locations, including brands like Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG. The startup reports that its agents handle over 1 million interactions per month.

Dextr AI operates on a subscription model with usage-based fees. According to the founders, the company has seen monthly recurring revenue growth of 20% to 30%. The startup’s team has expanded from three employees to 21 over the past year. Investors noted the company's ability to scale to hundreds of contracted properties without prior external funding.
