Munich-based startup Depotcharge has secured €2.7 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment was led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, with participation from xdeck Ventures, Kopa Ventures, Prequel Ventures, and several angel investors from the logistics and energy sectors.
The company is building a platform that allows logistics firms to share unused charging capacity at their depots with other fleets. This system helps optimize infrastructure usage, as operators can set their own pricing, access rules, and availability while the platform handles payment processing and invoicing.
Depotcharge has also formed a strategic partnership with the Bundesverband Güterkraftverkehr Logistik und Entsorgung to launch BGL Charge. This network enables logistics companies to open their charging points to others and gain access to external infrastructure, with E.L.V.I.S. AG joining to aggregate demand.
The startup plans to use the new capital to scale its international operations and further develop its platform. Future technical goals include integrating charging reservations into transport management systems and expanding the use of open interfaces for dispatch operations.
