Dell Technologies Inc. is expanding its PowerProtect portfolio to include identity resilience, focusing on platforms such as Active Directory, Entra ID, and Okta. This initiative aims to ensure that identity systems remain secure and trustworthy during the data recovery process following cyberattacks.

The company is also enhancing its managed detection and response service with new threat detection capabilities. These tools are designed to identify and automatically block the misuse of legitimate credentials, such as instances where users appear to log in from geographically distant locations simultaneously.

Dell is integrating PowerProtect into its AI Factory infrastructure and extending snapshot orchestration to PowerScale storage with replication to ObjectScale. These updates build upon the PowerProtect One and Dell Cyber Detect solutions introduced in May 2026.

To validate resilience strategies, Dell provides services including tabletop exercises and end-to-end ransomware simulations. According to company data, one customer achieved a 17-fold improvement in backup-to-recovery efficiency after restructuring their approach based on these simulations.
