Dell Technologies is adjusting its sales strategy in Silicon Valley to better serve enterprise customers who prefer building their own AI stacks rather than purchasing pre-packaged solutions. Sean O’Connor, regional manager of ENT West at Dell, noted that the company is adapting its approach to meet the needs of these technically sophisticated buyers.

The company is expanding its partner ecosystem to include not only traditional technology firms like Intel, Microsoft, and SHI International, but also private equity and venture capital entities. Dell leverages its internal venture arm, Dell Technologies Capital, to maintain closer ties with startups and developer communities.

Dell continues to rely on long-term partnerships with Nvidia, AMD, TSMC, and Micron to maintain credibility and speed in infrastructure deployment. The company recently demonstrated its capabilities by rolling out 350 racks within a two-week timeframe.

These efforts are part of the broader expansion of the Dell AI Factory with Nvidia portfolio, which was updated during the Dell Technologies World conference in May. The company is focused on accelerating the deployment of AI infrastructure to support projects moving from pilot phases to full production.
