David’s Bridal, a retailer that exited bankruptcy in 2023 following a $20 million acquisition by CION Investment Corp., intends to spin off its AI platform, Pearl, into a separate public company by 2027.

The Pearl ecosystem consists of two primary products. Pearl Planner, which launched in public beta in 2025, assists couples with budgeting and task management, tracking over 300 wedding-related activities.

The platform attracted over 110,000 users within nine months of its beta release without paid marketing. Users spend an average of six minutes per session using the planning tools.

Pearl Connect, a platform for wedding vendors like florists and photographers, launched on September 16, 2026. It operates on a tiered pricing model starting at $49 per month.

The company leverages 75 years of proprietary data to power its AI. Under CEO Kelly Cook and President Elina Vilk, the firm is shifting toward a technology-first model through its Aisle to Algorithm strategy.
