Cysic has suspended its cross-chain bridge on the BNB Smart Chain following an unauthorized minting of 10 million CYS tokens on October 17, 2026. The bridge is currently offline indefinitely, with no confirmed timeline for its restoration.

The unauthorized minting occurred at 12:31:38 UTC. By 13:47:52 UTC, Cysic blacklisted the recipient address, which contained approximately 2.8 million of the minted tokens at the time of the freeze.

The company has engaged third-party security experts to investigate the incident. Preliminary findings suggest a potential connection to unauthorized database access and vulnerabilities in the bridge's processing logic.

Cysic confirmed that the mainnet and other operational systems remain unaffected, and the incident did not impact the governance token CGT. The maximum supply of CYS is 1 billion, with 160.8 million in circulation.
