Simone Marulli of Marulli Studio has built a custom workstation featuring 15 Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards. The project, which began in December 2022, took nearly a year to complete. The system is designed for professional 3D rendering and has achieved top rankings in industry-standard benchmarks.
The workstation utilizes 15 MSI GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid units, each equipped with 24 GB of VRAM, totaling 360 GB of video memory. The combined configuration features 245,760 CUDA cores. While standard motherboards typically support up to seven PCIe slots, the specific architectural methods used to integrate 15 cards remain undisclosed.
Powering this setup requires five 1,600 W power supply units. During intensive 3D rendering tasks, the workstation consumes nearly 8 kW of power. The system recorded 21,171.8 points in the OctaneBench 2020.1.5 test with RTX enabled and reached 172,615 vpaths in the V-Ray 6 Benchmark.
