Comp AI, legally known as Bubba AI Inc., secured $34 million in a Series A funding round led by Roo Capital and Grand Ventures. The startup, founded in January 2025 by Lewis Carhart, Claudio Fuentes, and Mariano Fuentes, operates from Miami and New York. Total investment in the company has now reached $36.6 million, following a $2.6 million pre-seed round in August 2025.
The platform automates compliance tasks such as drafting policies, risk registers, and vendor security assessments. It supports frameworks including SOC 2 and ISO 27001, serving over 1,000 customers, including Dub Technologies Inc. and OpenCode. The company reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown 15 times over the past year.
The new capital will support hiring across product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams. Comp AI intends to expand its functionality beyond audit readiness into cybersecurity by implementing real-time monitoring and automated security testing against customer applications and infrastructure.
