Cognizant and Google Cloud have expanded their AI partnership, centered on the newly formed Gemini Frontier Capability Group. This unit is staffed by more than 18,000 Cognizant employees dedicated to integrating Google’s AI tools into client systems.
Cognizant intends to deploy Gemini to 100,000 of its associates by the end of 2026, with a long-term goal of reaching 200,000. To date, over 55,000 employees have completed the Build with Gemini training workshop.
The collaboration focuses on agentic AI, aiming to transition client projects from pilot phases to production-ready environments. The partnership covers sectors including healthcare, retail, financial services, and media.
Early internal data from clients indicates productivity gains. One retailer reported a 40% increase in developer productivity, a 30% reduction in time-to-market, and 35% in cost savings, while a communications provider saw a 17% improvement in support resolution.
