London-based fintech Cognitive Credit has secured €35.73 million in a new investment round led by Summit Partners. Existing investor ETFS Capital also participated in the deal. The company previously raised €8.93 million in a Series B round in September 2024 and €7.17 million in a Series A round in November 2021.
Founded in 2017 by Robert Slater, the firm provides an AI-powered platform for credit research. Its tools support over 80% of the top 25 global asset managers and all of the top 10 global debt league table investment banks. The company reports a 240% increase in active users and has more than doubled its coverage of bond and loan issuers.
The platform processes data from hundreds of thousands of financial reports, covering over 3,500 corporate bond and loan issuers across the US, Europe, and emerging markets. Its product suite includes a web application, an Excel add-in, a REST API, and a Claude Connector. All outputs are designed to be fully auditable and traceable to the original source.
The new capital will support the company's commercial expansion into the US market and the development of new products. Upcoming releases include DealConnect, a tool for accessing credit models of private issuers, and the deployment of agentic credit analysis. Further product enhancements and expanded market coverage are scheduled for 2027.
