MTS reports a 1.1-fold year-over-year increase in cloud backup usage among businesses in the Republic of Dagestan. This growth rate places the region at the top of the North Caucasian Federal District.
Retail, IT, telecommunications, and media companies are the primary users of these cloud services in the region. The retail sector demonstrated the most significant growth, with a 32% increase in data migration to virtual storage.
According to Karema Izieva, director of MTS in Dagestan, cloud backup solutions allow local companies to reduce capital expenditures on IT infrastructure by up to 30%.
The service enables businesses to scale their computing power within minutes without the need for additional hardware procurement. Cloud storage is used to protect servers, operating systems, databases, and applications.
