Italian startup Clastix has secured €2.9 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by CDP Venture Capital Sgr, with additional participation from Mistral and VERTIS SGR through its Vertis Venture 6 Digital Sud fund. The latter is partially financed by the European Union's Next-Generation EU programme.
The company specializes in infrastructure technology designed to manage Kubernetes operations at scale. Its core products include the open-source Hosted Control Plane engine Kamaji, licensed under Apache 2.0, and the commercial platform kMetal, which focuses on fleet management, governance, and production operations.
Clastix intends to use the capital to accelerate product development, expand its team, and strengthen its go-to-market strategy. The company plans to increase its R&D capabilities to support AI-scale workloads and expects to grow its headcount over the next three years to meet rising enterprise demand.
The technology is currently deployed in production environments across Europe and North America, serving sectors such as telecommunications, cloud services, public administration, and AI research labs. CEO Adriano Pezzuto emphasized that the funding will help build the infrastructure layer required for future AI developments.
