The National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee unveiled the Artificial Intelligence Security Governance Framework 3.0 on September 14. The document was presented during the opening ceremony of the 2026 National Cybersecurity Awareness Week.

The new framework follows the release of version 1.0 in 2024 and version 2.0 in 2025. These documents were developed to implement the Global AI Governance Initiative and address emerging trends and security challenges in the artificial intelligence sector.

The committee developed the 3.0 version under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China. The project involved collaboration with the China Academy of Cyberspace Studies, the Data and Technology Support Center, and various research institutes and industry enterprises.

The framework maintains its core logic of risk classification, technical response, and comprehensive governance. It updates risk categories and optimizes technical measures to improve risk prevention and strengthen consensus on AI safety governance.
