China Telecom has introduced a new food safety solution called 'Takeaway Cloud Supervision - Food Safety Seal' in Shanghai. The system aims to create a fully traceable monitoring network for food delivery services, extending safety protocols from kitchen preparation to the final delivery stage.
The 'Internet + Bright Kitchen' platform integrates live video streaming with AI-powered analytics. The system features seven distinct AI recognition capabilities, including detecting if staff are not wearing proper uniforms, masks, or hats, as well as identifying smoking, mobile phone use, rodent activity, and uncovered trash bins in kitchen areas.
Management can intervene in real-time using two-way voice communication to address violations immediately. In Nanjing, the company has implemented an integrated project that combines cloud supervision with smart sealing technology to improve food safety governance for online catering services.
The solution utilizes 5G smart sealing machines to print tamper-proof labels for food packages. These seals, combined with video surveillance records, allow consumers to scan a QR code upon delivery to view the preparation process and ensure the integrity of their order.
