The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China has released the draft of the National Internet of Vehicles Technology Standard System Construction Guide (2026 Edition). The public consultation period for this document is scheduled from October 20, 2026, to November 18, 2026.

The initiative aims to integrate the automotive, telecommunications, and transportation sectors by establishing a unified standard framework. The project is designed to facilitate connectivity between vehicles, infrastructure, and service platforms, with a goal to complete a comprehensive national standard system by 2030.

The proposed system is divided into five key categories: intelligent connected vehicles, information and communications, intelligent transportation, vehicle intelligent management, and electronic products and services. These segments cover technical requirements, network security, and data management.

The intelligent connected vehicles category focuses on vehicle product standards, while the information and communications section supports interactions between humans, vehicles, roads, and cloud systems. The remaining categories address traffic efficiency, regulatory compliance, and hardware reliability.
