Nine Chinese government departments, including the Ministry of Commerce, have issued a directive to accelerate the integration of technology into the commercial sector. The policy aims to boost the supply of smart devices, including smartphones, computers, home appliances, wearable tech, and robots, while fostering the development of AI-driven personalized customization.

The initiative promotes the digital transformation of the catering industry and the adoption of AI in healthcare, elderly care, and education. It also encourages the use of advanced logistics, such as smart warehouses and unmanned delivery systems, to improve supply chain efficiency and integrate green technology across commercial operations.

A key focus is the industrialization of cutting-edge technologies like brain-computer interfaces and embodied AI. The government plans to implement national standards for terminal intelligence, support the development of smart commercial entities, and establish a regulatory framework for AI applications through pilot testing and sandboxes.

To support these goals, the authorities will provide financial and fiscal backing for technological upgrades in consumer facilities. The plan also emphasizes talent development through partnerships between universities and enterprises to train specialists in fields such as logistics robotics and intelligent system management.
