The Russian SJ-100 passenger aircraft has completed 233 out of 294 planned certification flight tests, reaching approximately 79% of its flight program. The aircraft, developed by Yakovlev, features a maximum capacity of 103 passengers, a maximum takeoff weight of 49.45 tons, and a cruising speed of 0.82 Mach.
Simultaneously, the MC-21-300 medium-haul aircraft has performed 115 out of 301 scheduled tests, completing about 38% of its certification program. The MC-21-310 variant is designed to carry between 163 and 211 passengers, with a maximum takeoff weight of 85 tons and a range of up to 3830 km in a two-class configuration.
The certification progress of these aircraft, along with the regional Il-114-300 and the wide-body Il-96-300, was reviewed at a meeting in the Russian government's Coordination Center. The MC-21-310 incorporates over 30% composite materials and features a cabin width of 3.81 meters to replace aging Boeing and Airbus models in domestic fleets.
