Celero Communications, a semiconductor startup based in Irvine, California, has secured $140 million in total funding. The latest Series B round, which brought in $100 million, was led by Alphabet's growth fund, CapitalG.

The company previously raised $40 million through seed and Series A rounds from investors including Sutter Hill Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, Atreides Management, and Maverick Silicon. The funding was officially announced on November 17, 2025.

Founded in 2024 by industry veterans Nariman Yousefi and Oscar Agazzi, the startup employs approximately 30 people. The team is developing coherent digital signal processor chips specifically optimized for the bandwidth and power requirements of AI data centers.

The chips aim to solve connectivity issues between GPU clusters separated by physical distances. Celero intends to address the gap between overbuilt telecom-grade DSPs and short-reach solutions that cannot support campus-scale AI infrastructure.

The company faces competition from established semiconductor firms such as Broadcom and Marvell. With a typical development cycle of 18 to 24 months, Celero plans to scale its engineering team to reach volume production milestones.
