The Cardano Foundation has published its 2025 financial statements directly on-chain. This initiative incorporates an independent attestation from the audit firm Grant Thornton, marking the first time the organization has integrated third-party verification into its blockchain-based financial reporting.
The Swiss nonprofit organization aims to increase transparency by merging conventional auditing standards with cryptographic records. By placing these documents on-chain, the Foundation provides a verifiable account of its financial status, distinct from its role in supporting the Cardano blockchain ecosystem.
The Foundation clarified that it does not participate in token issuance or public trading activities. Market observers are now monitoring whether other entities will adopt similar blockchain-based transparency measures for their own financial disclosures.
