Capital F focuses on three primary sectors: women's health, digital commerce, and AI tools. The firm emphasizes the importance of AI because women are often the primary victims of trust and safety violations.
The fund's limited partners include prominent figures such as Jenny Ming, CEO of Rothys and former head of Old Navy, Marta Benson, former CEO of Pottery Barn, and Linnea Roberts of Gingerbread Capital. Nearly 80% of the fund's LPs are women.
The firm's investment strategy involves a requirement that founders speak with at least two LPs before receiving funding. This approach is designed to foster relationships that lead to advisory roles, board memberships, and sales introductions.
Capital F has already invested in 13 companies, providing early-stage checks between $250,000 and $1 million. Its portfolio includes telemedicine startup Hey Jane, cycle-tracking platform Stardust, and Big Sur AI, which was acquired by Google last year.
