FinDreams Battery, a division of BYD, has entered into a partnership with Changsha Fusheng Technology to develop battery systems for rail transport. The agreement was signed on September 7 at the BYD headquarters in Shenzhen, focusing on the application of Blade Battery technology in industrial and mining locomotives.

The collaboration targets locomotives used for shunting operations and cargo transport within mines, factories, and railway yards. The companies aim to implement automotive-grade Blade Battery systems specifically adapted for these heavy-duty rail environments.

Under the terms of the deal, FinDreams Battery will lead the research, development, and manufacturing of the battery cells. Changsha Fusheng Technology will handle the integration of these systems and develop specialized solutions for rail equipment, leveraging its expertise in battery management and electronic hardware.

The partners have not yet disclosed the financial details of the agreement, production volumes, technical specifications of the locomotives, or the timeline for commercial deployment.
