Bybit is planning to secure partnerships with major brokerage firms to enter the US market and compete with Robinhood. The exchange aims to transition from a crypto-only platform to a multi-asset trading venue under the leadership of CEO Ben Zhou.
On October 12, 2026, Bybit launched a service allowing users outside restricted jurisdictions to trade over 1,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs. Currently, US residents are excluded from this offering.
The platform utilizes a Unified Trading Account funded by USDC. Trades are executed through Alpaca Securities LLC, a broker regulated by FINRA and SIPC, with Infra Capital Limited acting as an introducing broker.
The service provides zero-commission trading, fractional shares, and access to pre-market and after-hours sessions. Users gain direct economic ownership of securities, and dividends can be reinvested in USDC.
