The developer implemented a custom TCP-based debugger for the 1C platform to bypass the latency issues associated with the standard HTTP-based debug server. The solution enables direct interaction with the thin client, supporting breakpoints, call stacks, local variables, and error handling without requiring an external server.
The connection process involves a complex handshake using RSA-1024 for key exchange and triple DES for profile encryption. The protocol also utilizes NTLM authentication via the system SSPI. The debugger must correctly handle specific GUID constants, connection IDs, and checksum calculations based on the Windows GUID structure to maintain session stability.
The debugger manages communication through two channels: one for client events and another for command execution. The system monitors ports in the 1560–1591 range. The implementation supports standard debugging features such as stepping (F10, F11), expression evaluation, and conditional breakpoints, matching the functionality of the native Configurator.
The project utilizes internal XML schemas and reverse-engineered logic from the dbgtgt.dll library to interpret command codes. The debugger successfully reproduces the communication flow, processing 1125 messages and 446 calls without errors. The tool allows for debugging both client-side modules and server-side session modules.
